Megan Thee Stallion, Jennifer Lopez Featured In New Coach Campaign

Jennifer Lopez and Megan Thee Stallion are among the members of the Coach family featured in a new Spring 2022 campaign by the global fashion house.

Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers worked in collaboration with director and photographer Tyler Mitchell on the campaign, which reimagines Coach's iconic Horse and Carriage code and first-ever house logo in a pop palette for a new generation.

Exploring the legacy of the house through a pop culture lens, "That's My Ride" playfully evokes nostalgic ride scenes in movies and music.

Lopez can be seen biking with a posse of BMX bikers, Megan Thee Stallion is battling it out on bumper cars at a seaside amusement park, and Wisdom Kaye and his TikTok super crew, including Noah Beck, are joyriding around Brooklyn.

The campaign introduces the house's Spring 2022 collection and Stuart Vevers' vision for the season of American classics subverted through the lens of now.

In addition to the Horse and Carriage collection, it spotlights the house's Field Tote and Hitch Backpack and will also introduce a reimagination of Coach's Signature, launching in February with the next chapter of the campaign.

Captured in cities around the world, the campaign was also created in collaboration with new ambassadors for the house Dean Fujioka and Shawn Dou, TikTok star Parker Kit Hill and comedian Elsa Majimbo.

Cardi B Wins $1.25 Million In Defamation Lawsuit Against YouTuber

Cardi B Wins $1.25 Million In Defamation Lawsuit Against YouTuber

Cardi B has been awarded $1.25 million in damages after the rapper won a defamation lawsuit against celebrity blogger Latasha Kebe.

The jurors also awarded Cardi the expenses and attorneys fees she requested, which will take total damages to up to $4 million.

"After almost four years of repeated libel and slander against me, being able to walk away from this victorious brings me great happiness," Cardi said in a statement.

"During this trial, all of you have learned about the darkest time in my life. That moment in time was fueled by the vile, disgusting, and completely false narratives that were repeatedly and relentlessly being shared online," she added. "I thought I would never be heard or vindicated and I felt completely helpless and vulnerable."

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper had sued Kebe for spreading "false" rumors about Cardi having herpes and HPV in 2018 and early 2019. The blogger had also claimed that Cardi worked as a prostitute, used cocaine, and cheated on her husband Offset.

Meanwhile, Kebe's lawyer Sadeer Sabbak said in a statement, "We disagree with the verdict, and we will be filing an appeal."

Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation Commits $15 Million To Climate Justice

Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation Commits $15 Million To Climate Justice

Rihanna's nonprofit organization The Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) has committed $15 million to the climate justice movement in the U.S. and Caribbean.

CLF is offering this round of funding in partnership with #StartSmall, Jack Dorsey's philanthropic initiative.

Through CLF's justice pillar, the foundation supports organizations on the frontlines fighting for new, equitable systems and policy change.

These grants are focused on and led by women, youth, Black, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+ and people of color to accelerate climate justice for those at greatest risk.

"At the Clara Lionel Foundation, much of the work is rooted in the understanding that climate disasters, which are growing in frequency and intensity, do not impact all communities equally, with communities of color and island nations facing the brunt of climate change. This is why CLF prioritizes both climate resilience and climate justice work across the U.S. and Caribbean," said Robyn "Rihanna" Fenty, Founder of the Clara Lionel Foundation.

"CLF believes strongly that funders must build partnerships with organizations and acknowledge their deep understanding of what is necessary to achieve climate justice in their own communities," said Justine Lucas, Executive Director of the Clara Lionel Foundation.

The Clara Lionel Foundation was founded in 2012 by the Barbadian music superstar in honor of her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite. CLF supports and funds climate resilience and justice initiatives in the Caribbean and the United States.

Damon Albarn Apologizes After Suggesting Taylor Swift Doesn't Write Her Own Songs

Damon Albarn Apologizes After Suggesting Taylor Swift Doesn't Write Her Own Songs

Damon Albarn has apologized to Taylor Swift over his comment that she "doesn't write her own songs."

The Blur lead singer made the comment in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

When the interviewer pointed out that Swift co-writes her music, Albarn replied, "That doesn't count. I know what co-writing is. Co-writing is very different to writing. I'm not hating on anybody, I'm just saying there's a big difference between a songwriter and a songwriter who co-writes."

Taylor replied to his comments on Twitter, tweeting, "I was such a big fan of yours until I saw this. I write ALL of my own songs. Your hot take is completely false and SO damaging. You don't have to like my songs but it's really f-ed up to try and discredit my writing. WOW."

Albarn, who has a history of making controversial criticism of pop stars, later apologized to Swift for his statement.

"I totally agree with you. I had a conversation about songwriting and sadly it was reduced to clickbait. I apologise unreservedly and unconditionally. The last thing I would want to do is discredit your songwriting. I hope you understand," he tweeted in reply to Swift's tweet.

Interscope To Release Iconic Albums On Vinyl For 30th Anniversary

Interscope Records have announced a new museum exhibit, Artists Inspired by Music: Interscope Reimagined, and a limited-edition vinyl series featuring the new artwork on classic albums from its iconic artists as part of the label's 30th anniversary celebration.

Artists whose works are featured in the vinyl series include Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Eminem, U2, Nine Inch Nails, 2Pac, Mary J. Blige and Lana Del Rey.

"While this groundbreaking art exhibit will be on view at LACMA only for a limited time, we thought launching a series of limited-edition vinyl to honor both our recording artists and the extraordinary visual artists who contributed pieces to this effort, would be a great way for this celebration to live on for years, and at the same time was a cool way to invite music fans into the Interscope's 30th celebration," said Steve Berman, vice chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M.

Berman added, "NTWRK, who specializes in highly curated cultural artifacts from art and music, are a perfect retail partner as we celebrate the legacy of all of the artists who have made Interscope Records a success for the past 30 years. The fact that the sales of these albums will help fund Jimmy and Dre's high school makes it an even more special endeavor."

The Interscope 30th anniversary museum exhibit runs at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) from Jan. 30 to Feb. 13, 2022.

"We're honored to work with Interscope to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the iconic record label alongside some of the most culturally significant musicians and artists on this amazing project that raises money for a great cause helping support Jimmy and Dre's high school," said NTWRK CEO Aaron Levant.

Bastille Share New Single 'Shut Off The Lights'

English pop rock band Bastille recently shared a new single from their upcoming album, Give Me The Future.

The new song, "Shut Off The Lights," follows four previous singles from the album - "No Bad Days," "Distorted Light Beam," "Thelma + Louise" and the title track.

Speaking about the song, Dan Smith says, "'Shut Off The Lights' is about being pulled out of your future-fearing anxieties by the person you're lying next to."

"It's about intimacy and physical connection, rejecting our worries about life and the future for a minute, and unplugging from it all to really be present. It's a fun, real, human moment in the middle of this big album," added the Bastille frontman. "But also, it's a song that nods back to Paul Simon's Graceland and a load of music we love. It made us want to dance around the studio and is ridiculously fun to play live."

Bastillle's highly anticipated new album is scheduled for release on February 4.

In support of the album, the band will perform intimate outdoor shows across the United Kingdom, followed by the "Give Me The Future" arena tour in April. The band will tour the United States during the following two months.

Chris Brown, Drake Respond To 'No Guidance' Copyright Infringement Lawsuit

Chris Brown, Drake Respond To 'No Guidance' Copyright Infringement Lawsuit

Chris Brown and Drake's lawyers have filed a motion to dismiss a copyright infringement lawsuit brought against the pair, which alleges that they ripped off a 2016 song called "I Love Your Dress" for their 2019 hit "No Guidance."

Last year, Brandon Cooper, also known by his stage name Mr. Cooper, and Timothy Valentine, aka Drum'n Skillz, filed a lawsuit against Brown and Drake claiming that "No Guidance" was a copy of their work on "I Love Your Dress."

The lawsuit had claimed that an analysis of the beat, lyrics, hook and rhythmic structure demonstrates that "No Guidance" was copied or, at the very least, principally derived from "I Love Your Dress."

Specifically, they claimed their track has the lyrics "She got it; she got it" repeated 16 times, while CB's and Drake's has "You got it, girl; you got it" at least 11 times.

However, the attorney representing Drake and Brown, James Sammataro, rejected the allegations, saying the phrase is too prevalent to be within the realm of copyright law.

"Plaintiffs' suit is premised upon the alleged similarity [to a] wholly generic lyrical phrase," Sammataro wrote. "No one, including plaintiffs, can own or monopolize the non-copyrightable phrase 'you got it,' and it should come as no surprise that this phrase appears in countless other works."

"The Court can hear for itself that the total concept and feel of the songs is vastly different," Sammataro added. "Plaintiffs' song is a slow, R&B love ballad about the writer's wife featuring one vocalist and relatively few lyrics. In sharp contrast, 'No Guidance' is a faster, longer, and sexually explicit rap and R&B song about a new romantic interest."

Shawn Mendes Strolls Through Snowy Toronto In New 'It'll Be Okay' Video

Shawn Mendes Strolls Through Snowy Toronto In New 'It'll Be Okay' Video

Pop sensation Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello's breakup in November was one of the talks of the world after the duo rose to fame together and continued to date for two years.

Mendes recently released a video to his emotional single "it'll be okay," which has portrayed the singer's mood in a snow-skied canvas.

The song itself was launched back in December, showing that the electric duo was truly separated. The video, directed by Jay Martin, shows Mendes back in his hometown in Toronto, Canada, in a snowy evening where he sings the song with no one around in a feeling of blue that is characteristic of losing in love.

"If you tell me you're leaving, I'll make it easy/ It'll be okay/ If we can't stop the bleeding/ We don't have to fix it/ We don't have to stay/ I will love you either way/ Ooh-ooh, it'll be oh, be okay" a heart-broken loner sings on as flakes of snow fill the rest of the frame.

Mendes is planning to take "Wonder," his chart-topping single on a tour around the world in 2022 starting in spring.

Yungblud Says New Album Will Be 'Most Personal' Yet

Yungblud Says New Album Will Be 'Most Personal' Yet

English singer, musician and songwriter Yungblud says his upcoming album will be his most personal.

"I've been in London, I've been making the third record and I'm just so excited about it," Yungblud said in an interview with Apple Music. "This is, for me, the most personal music I've ever written."

"I think people are going to be a bit shocked about that because all my other music is pretty personal [but] I've gone deeper and it's pretty outrageous, to be honest," he told Hanuman Welch.

The untitled record, a follow-up to his 2020 album Weird, will be "completely uncensored," according to Yungblud.

"People can believe what they wanna believe about you," he said. "There's a lot of stuff written about me on the internet in the past two years and I ain't gonna respond to that, I ain't gonna give people the satisfaction. But it's created a beautiful kickback in me."

"All my life I've felt misunderstood, I've felt oppressed, I've felt attacked for being just simply who I was. [Then] you find a community who accept you and then millions more people know who you are and you feel exactly the same way," he added.

Speaking about potential collaborations on the album, Yungblud said, "I love what Willow Smith's doing right now. I'm obsessed with Girl In Red. There's a new wave of artists who are talking from their soul and their reality. I ain't confirming anything but I would certainly love to work with them."

Trey Songz Accused Of Rape By Former UNLV Basketball Player Dylan Gonzalez

Trey Songz Accused Of Rape By Former UNLV Basketball Player Dylan Gonzalez

Another sexual assault claim was recorded against Trey Songz, as Dylan Gonzalez, an artist and former basketball star at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, has claimed that the singer had raped her at a "well-known Las Vegas Hotel."

Gonzalez did not specify any details of the incident but has confirmed that she is taking legal action against the singer.

In an Instagram post, she wrote, "With what seems like endlessly reoccurring news of the alleged sexual assaults committed by Trey Songz, I am forced to repeatedly relive in my mind, and suffer anew, the long-suppressed horror and unbearable PTSD of my rape by his very hands at a well known Las Vegas Hotel."

Gonzalez also asked other sexually abused individuals to come forward to fight for justice, adding, "Suppression of our voices only emboldens our oppressors, and you cannot heal what you do not reveal."

However, she has not answered questions about the details of the incident she was alluding to.

Gonzalez had already dropped hints about the lawsuit on New Year's Eve, when she tweeted, "Trey Songz is a rapist. Lord forgive me I Couldn't hold that in another year."

This is not the first allegation of sexual assault against Songz. In November 2021, Songz was involved in another investigation of a similar gravity after his 37th birthday party at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Famous actress and television star Keke Palmer had also claimed back in 2017 that she was filmed without consent by the singer and his friends. Model Celina Powell and her friend Aliza had already exposed the singer in 2020, calling him "weird" after he allegedly threatened them and urinated on them.

Paramore Reveal Return To The Studio For First Album In Five Years

Paramore have revealed that they have returned to studio and have started working on their sixth full-length album. The album, a follow-up to 2017's After Laughter, will be the band's first new record in five years.

"We wrote and tracked something we loved and it actually surprised us," frontwoman Hayley Williams told Rolling Stone about the first day back together with her band mates Taylor York, and Zac Farro.

"We kept joking it was all downhill from that point, but thank God we've been surprised a lot throughout this whole thing. I'm always waiting for the moment for us to know we're onto something new and we're not just rehashing the same shit," she added.

Williams continued, "It was 'Ain't It Fun' for our self-titled record, and 'Hard Times' or 'Told You So' for After Laughter. It's not about it feeling like a hit so much as it's a scary, exciting feeling that you're treading uncharted waters. It keeps you curious. We got to feel that feeling early on this time."

The band also revealed that they completed the album's earliest songwriting sessions in Nashville but then relocated to a studio in California for recording.
