Megan Thee Stallion Cancels Houston Show 'Out Of Respect' For Astroworld Victims

Megan Thee Stallion has announced that she is cancelling a previously scheduled show in Houston out of respect for the victims of the Astroworld music festival tragedy.

"Out of respect for the lives lost in Houston earlier this month, I have decided to cancel my show at 713 Music Hall on Dec 3," the rapper said in a statement, referring to the stampede during Travis Scott's headlining set on November 5, in which ten people were killed and hundreds of others were injured.

Dozens of lawsuits have been filed against the rapper, surprise performer Drake, and organizers of the music concert, which went on for 40 minutes even after the incident occurred.

"Houston is still healing and it's important that our community be given the appropriate time to grieve," Megan added. "My heart goes out to all the families that are suffering during this difficult time."

Since her concert was announced last month, the Houston native was eager to take the stage and celebrate the grand opening of Live Nation's 713 Music Hall, which was converted from the city's historic Barbara Jordan Post Office.

The National Lottery and the Music Venue Trust have announced that Bastille, Enter Shikari and more will perform on the Revive Live Tour in 2022.

The Revive Live campaign was launched this year as an effort to support grassroots venues in the U.K. post-coronavirus lockdowns. The campaign featured performances of Wolf Alice, Sam Fender, Tom Jones and more.

The organizers have confirmed that the Revive Live Tour will take place in January with one-off shows from Bastille, Enter Shikari, The Coral, Feeder, Becky Hill, Kojey Radical and Maisie Peters. Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 3 at 10 am GMT.

Bastille are set to play at The Picturedrome in Holmfirth on January 27. Becky Hill will be returning to Birmingham's Sunflower Lounge, where she played as a teenager, on January 28.

"Playing this venue will most likely have me regressing to that 17 year old young woman, with her whole life ahead of her, & make me very, very grateful for where I am now," Hill said. "I've worked so hard & often forget to look back at where I've come from."

Enter Shikari will be returning to their roots playing Club 85 in Hitchin, where they started out, on January 27.

He added, "So it's so great to be able to return and play there again after more than a decade and help highlight the fact that these venues need support especially right now after they've been sat empty for nearly two years."

Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' Tops Holiday 100 For 46th Week

Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" has once again topped Billboard's Holiday 100 Songs chart.

The track from Carey's 1994 album, Merry Christmas, is an up-tempo love song that includes bell chimes, backing vocals and synthesizers. The song has become a Christmas standard and continues to surge in popularity each holiday season.

The Holiday 100 returns to Billboard's charts menu, ranking the top seasonal songs of all eras via the same formula used for the Billboard Hot 100, considering streaming, airplay and sales data as the three criteria.

This is the 46th week of the chart's 51 week history that "All I Want for Christmas Is You" has ranked first on the chart. Thirty-one of the chart toppers were in consecutive weeks, beginning from the 2015-16 holiday season.

Justin Bieber's "Mistletoe," Pentatonix' "Little Drummer Boy" and "Mary, Did You Know?" and Ariana Grande's "Santa Tell Me" are the other Holiday 100 toppers.

Hayley Williams Teases Return Of Paramore In 2022

Hayley Williams Teases Return Of Paramore In 2022

Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has hinted the alternative rock band could return some time next year.

Williams recently wrote a message to thank her bandmates for their support on her two solo albums, 2020's Petals for Armor and 2021's Flowers For Vases/Descansos. She also teased a possible Paramore comeback next year in the newsletter.

"In the thick of it all, I wrote. Enough to make up 2 solo albums. The kind I never swore I'd make! Because how dare anyone, most of all me, think for a second that my loyalty to Paramore has dwindled," Williams wrote.

"The guys were by my side nearly the entire process. If not actually working on the project with me then cheering me on. I even got to write with a few friends outside of - but very much connected to - Paramore, who taught me so much and gave me so much to be inspired by. Petals would likely not even exist if not for Joey Howard, his bass guitar, and a drum machine!!" she continued.

"Before I go, thank y'all so much for the incredible support these last couple years. I know we didn't get to properly come together to sing and vent and sweat it all out.but I do think that Petals and descansos lived exactly the lives they were meant to. Besides, Paramore can't be 'on a break' forever now can we? I love y'all. See you sometime next year?" the singer concluded.

A new Paramore album would be the band's first new music since releasing After Laughter in 2017. The album peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and also topped the Top Rock Albums chart.

Chance The Rapper Teams Up With Dionne Warwick On 'Nothing's Impossible'

Chance the Rapper recently dropped "Nothing's Impossible," a new collab with legendary singer Dionne Warwick.

"For those of you asking about the song with @chancetherapper. well, it's out NOW," Warwick announced on Twitter.

"I gotta tell you, I am so excited," Warwick said in a video clip she tweeted. "Yes, I am."

In January, both Warwick and Chance had announced that they were working on a collab.

The teaming of the pair stemmed from a hilarious tweet posted by Warwick last December making fun of Chance's stage name.

"Hi @chancetherapper. If you are very obviously a rapper why did you put it in your stage name? I cannot stop thinking about this," Warwick wrote.

"Bro, tell me what's worse, a broken arm or broken armour / The suit that made you Superman is really old pyjamas / Just imagine if Moana had been worried 'bout piranhas / Or if Elsa held the powers back the first time she froze Anna," Chance raps in the new song.

Proceeds from "Nothing's Impossible" will benefit two charities: SocialWorks, a Chicago-based nonprofit that Chance founded to empower the youth through the arts, education and civic engagement, and Hunger: Not Impossible, a text-based service connecting kids and their families in need with prepaid, nutritious, to-go meals from local restaurants.

Ye Shares Reflective 'Thanksgiving Prayer' Video

Ye Shares Reflective 'Thanksgiving Prayer' Video

Kanye West, who recently changed his name to Ye, shared a Thanksgiving Day video reflecting on several topics, including his marital problems with Kim Kardashian, his mental health issues and his political stance.

"All I think about every day is how I get my family back together and how I heal the pain that I've caused. I take accountability for my actions," Ye says in the five-minute video posted on Instagram, captioned "Thanksgiving Prayer."

The clip also shows West's Sunday Service Choir singing in a dimly lit room as the rapper gives his speech. "The one thing that all my successes and failures have in common is me," he continues.

The "Donda" singer's speech touched on several things ,including his "hair-trigger temper" that was "heightened" by alcohol and how his family had to "endure" his manic "episodes" due to his bipolar disorder.

"I went into a manic episode in 2016 and I was placed under heavy medication," West shared. "Since then, I went on and off the medication which left me susceptible to other episodes, which my wife and family and fans have had to endure."

He also talked about his political allegiance, which was reportedly one of the reasons behind his troubled marriage with Kim.

"Good lord, my wife did not like me wearing the red hat," West remarked in the prayer, in reference to his prior support of Donald Trump and the Make America Great Again hat. "I made me and our family a target by not aligning with Hollywood's political stance, and that was hard for our marriage."

"Then I ran for president without proper preparation and no allies on either side. I embarrassed my wife in the way that I presented information about our family during the one and, thank God, only press conference," he said.

Judge Orders Release Of Cardi B's Medical Records In STD Defamation Lawsuit

Judge Orders Release Of Cardi B's Medical Records In STD Defamation Lawsuit

A judge recently ordered the release of Cardi B's medical records as the rapper sues a YouTube gossip blogger in a defamation suit.

U.S. District Judge William Ray has ordered the Center for Women's Pelvic Health at UCLA to send him "any and all medical records" for Cardi "related solely to [her] testing for herpes and HPV."

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper is suing blogger Latasha Kebe for spreading "false" rumors about Cardi having herpes and HPV in 2018 and early 2019. The blogger had also claimed that Cardi worked as a prostitute, used cocaine, and cheated on her husband Offset.

"My client does not have HPV and herpes," Cardi's lawyer told Rolling Stone, adding, "Two of the defamatory statements at issue are the vile, false, and highly offensive statements by the defendant that my client has herpes and HPV, and we provided these [STD testing] records 14 months ago in support of my client's claims."

"None of the aforementioned statements about plaintiff are true. Plaintiff was never a prostitute or a user of cocaine. Plaintiff has never, and does not now, have herpes, nor has she had herpes outbreaks on her mouth," the lawyer added.

Cardi's lawsuit is set to head to trial on January 5.

Don McClean Reacts To Taylor Swift Breaking Record For Longest Billboard Hot 100 No. 1

Don McClean Reacts To Taylor Swift Breaking Record For Longest Billboard Hot 100 No. 1

Don McLean has graciously reacted to Taylor Swift breaking his long-held record for the longest song to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The 10-minute 13 second version of "All Too Well (Taylor's Version)" recently broke the record held by McLean's 8 minute and 42 seconds-long song "American Pie" since 1972.

"Let's face it, nobody ever wants to lose that #1 spot, but if I had to lose it to somebody, I sure am glad it was another great singer/songwriter such as Taylor," McLean said in a statement posted on social media.

"There is something to be said for a great song that has staying power. 'American Pie' remained on top for 50 years and now Taylor Swift has unseated such a historic piece of artistry," he told Billboard.

Upon breaking the nearly 50-year record, an elated Taylor shared her joy with her fans on Twitter on Monday.

"I'm so proud of this song and the memories I have with you guys because of it. You truly chose this one and now you did THIS?! I'm floored. A ten minute song is at the top of the Hot 100," the singer-songwriter tweeted.

Taylor Swift, Ye Albums Reportedly Added To Grammy Nominees At Last Minute

Taylor Swift, Ye Albums Reportedly Added To Grammy Nominees At Last Minute

Taylor Swift's Evermore and Kanye West's Donda were reportedly added to the list of Grammy nominees at the very last minute.

The 2022 Grammy nominations were announced on Tuesday, November 23, but according to a New York Times report, the Recording Academy expanded its number of nominees from eight to ten in its big-four categories: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best New Artist, just the previous day.

Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and board-of-trustees chair Tammy Hurt sent a letter out to the Academy's members on Tuesday, which was published in full on The Wrap, justifying the last-minute category change.

"The growth in music and your extraordinary engagement obligated us to seek this change. Perhaps in the past, the leadership would have waited for the next Awards cycle to make a change," reads the letter. "But one thing that we've heard loud and clear from you is that you are tired of waiting for big changes. You asked for - and you deserve - an organization that is as nimble and brave as you. In that spirit, we went to the Board of Trustees and made the case for this direction, and just minutes ago, they adopted it."

According to the Times report, West's Donda and Swift's Evermore, which were already nominated in other categories, were late additions to the album of the year nomination list.

Other nominees for album of the year include Justin Bieber's Justice, Olivia Rodrigo's Sour, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga's Love For Sale, Doja Cat' Planer Her, H.E.R.'s Back Of My Mind, Billie Eilish's Happier Than Ever, Lil Nas X's Montero and Jon Batiste's We Are.

The Times also reported that the late expansion of the record of the year category saw Lil Nas X's "Montero (Call Me by Your Name)" and ABBA's "I Still Have Faith in You" added to the list that already included songs by Rodrigo, Bieber, Bennett and Lady Gaga, Batiste, Doja Cat, Eilish, Silk Sonic and Brandi Carlile.

WILLOW Teams Up With Kid Cudi, Travis Barker On 'Transparent Soul' Remix

WILLOW has shared a remix of her hit song "Transparent Soul" featuring Kid Cudi and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

"Transparent Soul," the lead single from her fourth solo studio album Lately I Feel Everything, was released in April. The pop-punk song was certified Gold.

"I am so grateful for this song because it was created during such an introspective time during quarantine. The solitude allowed me to introspect and really let go of the insecurities I had about making a project in this genre," WILLOW said in a statement. "I am humbled and grateful that Kid Cudi is now able to bring his magic to this remix."

Willow is scheduled to play a headline show in Camden, London, in December, and share stages with Billie Eilish as supporting act at select U.S. shows on her "Happier Than Ever" world tour next year.
