Halsey Surprise-Drops Extended Edition Of ‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power’

Halsey has unexpectedly released an extended edition of their new album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.

The extended version features two new songs – a new version of “Nightmare” and “People Disappear Here” – added to the original 16-track album.

“The extended version of IICHLIWP is out now featuring the new and moody ethereal goodness that is ‘People Disappear Here’ plus a @nineinchnails reimagined version of ‘Nightmare,'” Halsey wrote on Twitter.

Halsey’s fourth album, which was released on August 27, explores themes of pregnancy and motherhood.

Halsey described the release, which came a month after she gave birth to her first child, as “a concept album about the joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth. It was very important to me that the cover art conveyed the sentiment of my journey over the past few months.”

In a video she shared on Twitter along with the debut of her album, the 26-year-old singer-songwriter said, “I have waited my whole life to be exactly where I am right now, and at times I have enjoyed the darkness along the way. It’s now your turn”.

If I Can’t Have Love topped Billboard‘s Top Album Sales Chart, Vinyl Albums chart and the Tastemaker Albums chart.
