I recently volunteered for Religious Community Service’s weekly program which assists the needy in rural areas of ENC. Operation Outpost helps those who are hungry in parts of Craven, Jones and Pamlico counties. Went back-to-school shopping for the kids last weekend. On Saturday it was to get new clothes, which they needed regardless. Sunday we got them “learning supplies”, which set us back $145.
