At the house from which I recently moved, there were two incredibly large pine trees in the side yard. In autumn, each tree rained pine cones. Each pine cone I had to pick up to dispose – one year I removed over 8,000 off the lawn. Yep, I counted. Boring thing to do but must be done.
This past June, we moved to a new location in town. There is one young tree in the front yard. It’s not a pine tree, thank goodness. It’s barely taller than I am (six-foot-one).
It’s going to take me five minutes to rake the yard this fall.
Life is rough.
