Here is Brooks’ weekly blog…
I will be the first to admit I wasn’t a kid who enjoyed school. Being told what to do, sitting in the same chair all day, doing work just wasn’t fun for me. Also, it’s not the way I learn, I am a hands on type person. So, when it came time to go back to school every Fall I wasn’t a fan.
I wasn’t one of those kids that fought with his parents about not going or anything like that, I wasn’t a terrible kid in school I just talked a lot (go figure). I just didn’t like going to school. I enjoyed school functions, school sports, school shopping actually because I got new stuff. But when Summer ended every year it was the worst feeling in the world.
If I had to choose my favorite thing about going back to school, it was seeing my friends and classmates again.
Yes, some kids I did see over the summer but others I didn’t. Some kids spent time with grandparents, going on vacation and even summer camps. So, when the first day hits it was always nice seeing everyone again.
Plus, a new teacher I got to aggravate…
