Here is Brooks’ weekly blog…
If you have never seen me or met me then you probably don’t know I am covered in tattoos. They start on my shoulder and go all the way down to my feet.
I got my first tattoo when I was 17, just 2 weeks before my 18th birthday. I got the stereotypical tattoo for a guy of a cross with wings behind it, angels on the side and hands holding it all on my right arm. Three weeks later I got my second tattoo on my left arm. Once I got that one I knew I was hooked and haven’t stopped since.
After getting those tattoos, I told myself I would never go below the shirt line so I could always cover my tattoos. Well, that didn’t last long. As my third tattoo was on my forearm.
When someone asks me how many I have, I am to the point of saying, “I have no idea.” I have tattoos ranging from a grilled cheese with legs chasing a tater tot, a telitubbie, and even Betty White. I have a wide variety of tattoos and love them all.
I don’t think I will ever stop getting tattoos as I have an appointment for next month. I am getting a tattoo for my daughter.
Tattoos are apart of my life and don’t define me. I am ok with being judged because of my tattoos and all the stereo types that come with it. Just know because you have a tattoo doesn’t make you a bad person. It makes you an expressive person who isn’t afraid to show their feelings.
