City of Greenville Tells Residents to Stay Home

Officials in the City of Greenville have issued a Stop the Spread order, telling residents to stay home for all but essential needs or activities.

The order goes into effect at 5:00 p.m. Thursday and is valid through April 10.

They say essential trips out and about include trips to buy groceries or pick up takeout, to the pharmacy or doctor, to care for or help a family member during the pandemic, or to exercise or walk pets outdoors.

Going to work for all but those deemed essential, visiting friends or family, or bulk-buying food or household items are not deemed essential activities.
